Gastrointestinal Issues

I came to Dr. Powell in the beginning of 2018 after two years of gastrointestinal issues. In October of 2016 I had my gallbladder removed for GI issues and it exacerbated the problems. In November of 2017 I went to the ER with pain in my right abdominal area and I was hospitalized for 4 days. I was told that I had an abscess in my intestines. I was on two different extremely strong antibiotics for a few weeks. My GI tract from November of 2017 - August of 2018 made me fearful to leave my home.

Dr. Powell helped me with allergy testing and finding the right regimen of supplements to aid the healing of my food allergies and gut. We found I had an allergy to oats as well as a few other things I now avoid. In August of 2018 I started to really regain my energy levels and have a much easier time in the bathroom. The only thing that my GI doctor could tell me was that I had IBS and prescribe me medication. One of the tests I've had done with Dr. Powell disproved the theory that I had IBD or IBS. I can say I am back to about 75% from my lowest point. I am still working with Dr. Powell to continue recovering my gut flora and energy levels.

Gastrointenstinal Issues

"Came into elements because of gastrointestinal issues that my primary care physician and gastroenterologist could not help with. Instead of trying prescription medication to mask symptoms, I wanted to find and treat the cause of the issues. First came in January and after the first couple of visits I was seeing improvements and by the end of March I was feeling back to normal."
